Landmarkshops.com Haul

I first discovered Landmarkshops.com through Facebook and at that time, they had a free shipping + 60% off sale going on. In addition, they promise next (business) day delivery for all orders placed before 3 pm. Thus I was completely sold and decided to order 3 dresses - one for me, one for my sis and one for a friend, My package arrived the very next day as they claimed on their site and I was highly satisfied with my purchase.

A few weeks ago, they had the 60% off sale as well as free shipping on orders over AED 100. (Usually, I believe they charge you an additional 10 Dhs for shipping). Thus, I decided to place another order.

I ordered seven, yes SEVEN items for just AED 180 on the 3rd of September and it was on my door steps by the 4th September! :D

Here is what I ordered:

This beautiful "Knitted Top" with pearl-style beading along the neck line. I don't know why is it called knitted when its not. It originally retailed for AED 70 and it was on sale for AED 35 and further reduced to AED 25!

I got this "Wooven Shirt Tunic" for AED 45. Its one of my favourite items and so I wish the quality was slightly better. Anyway, for 45 Dhs, this is totally worth it! I love the sleeves and the neck-line. Oh, I always pair it with a tank-top as its quite see-through.

Next, I got this "Barbie Knit Leggings' to wear at home. They were on sale as well - from AED 30 to AED 15. Oh, they are not white as claimed in the description. They are cream/beige as you can see in the picture. 

I also got this "Textured Bodycon Dress" for my sister. It was on sale from AED 70 to AED 30. She loved the color and the style but unfortunately it didn't look good on her but looked good on me. So we decided to keep it.

It does look wide and short on the picture but it fits perfectly. Maybe I am just a horrible photographer as my sister claims :P

My sister also ordered this "Neon Crop Top" for AED 15. It was reduced from AED 40 to AED 30 and finally to AED 15.

This "Ankle Length Stretch Trousers" was reduced from AED 90 to AED 65 and finally to AED 35. My sister loves the color and is quite satisfied with this item. I personally am not fond of the material. However, brown trousers are a must-have in every wardrobe.

So the last item that we purchased was this "Ladies Tank Top" AED 15. Its my sister's  favourite item as the style and fit is perfect for her. It is quite see-through so she always wears something under it. Oh, it looks exactly like the picture shown. Perhaps a little brighter.

So overall I am highly satisfied with all my purchases. They do have a 30 days return policy but I didn't feel the need to use that option and hopefully I will not need to either:D

PS - I noticed that they now accept Cash on Delivery for an additional AED 10 so people who are not comfortable sharing their credit card details could look into that.

10 reasons to shop online

So I would like to post about something that I have been doing since the past one year and what I strongly feel about.

As the title says, its gonna be about my top 10 reasons to shop online!


1-      Price

       When I first discovered online shopping, I was shocked to see the difference in prices compared to what I have been paying here for years. Thus, my new policy of life is nothing is worth over AED 150. NOTHING! And I mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING OVER AED 150 is worth it. Exceptions are designer goods which I rarely buy.

2-      Variety­+ unique stuff
Choices! Choices! Choices!  Where in the world can you find everything in one place and not run from one end of the shop/mall to another? In addition, you can some extremely unique stuff which might be hard to get in this country.

3-      Customer Service

          How many times have you been disappointed to see your perfect dress available but not in your preferred colour/size? Well, some sites let you pre-order your goods and also reserve your item without any extra charge. Oh, they don't stick to you either for a change :P (Those living in UAE know exactly what I am talking about)

4-      Excitement

          It’s like receiving a gift. I love opening up packages….and the excitement of what/how it lies under those paper-wraps/bubble-wraps gets me even more high  :P

5-      Coupons/Rebates

Not only can I save my hard earned money online but I also get rewarded for shopping. Granted it’s not a lot but at least I am getting something back. I guess we can avail similar offer here through Shukran and some other loyalty cards.

6-      Too lazy to go to store

    
      I guess no explanation is needed. This is the curse of our generation.

7-      Review my purchase a zillion times

           Before I buy anything, I always try to find a similar item in-stores and compare. In addition, I always ask myself, “Is it worth it?”, Is it worth it? Is it worth it?, Is it worth it?. If the answer is yes, I would buy it. If not, then I would TRY not to buy it :P

8-      Shop 24/7

I can shop whenever I want, whatever I want, wherever I want. Nobody will stare at me while I am shopping at 4 am dressed in my nightie.

9-      Money is not stuck

I hate these new policy of stores where they refuse to give you a refund. “Madam, look around and find something else. We will give you an exchange but we cannot give you a refund”. No thanks, I don’t  like anything and you don’t have what I want -.-
Recently, purchased blow-dryer from a major electronics retailer here. Found out it was used and too heavy than we initially realized. Took it back to the store where they refused to give me a refund.

10-   Price

I would round it up with the most important reason to shop on-line. I don’t buy anything on-line unless I can save up at least 25% compared to stores here or the item is unique.
